The table below lists all exports that were first added to the Windows kernel for the version 4.0 from Windows NT 4.0 SP4. Both are still exported as of version 10.0. Both were documented at least as early as the Windows 2000 Device Driver Kit (DDK). Conditional-compilation blocks were added to both functions’ declarations in 2005-2006, i.e., for or shortly before the Windows Driver Kit (WDK) for Windows Vista, to the effect of requiring Windows 2000 and higher. This requirement was not repeated in the documentation from that same WDK, but was added in 2008-2009.
